Go Around the World by Returning to the Old Place

Go around the world

by returning to the old place

2019 is a year of great anniversaries. Fifty years since man first landed on the Moon and five hundred years since the beginning of Magellan’s sail around the world.

These two anniversaries are the motive for our project in which we gather luxurious yachts that will sail around the world in the next ten years.

Firstly, it is the dream of almost every sailor to sail around the world. On the other hand, guests who visit our yachts and sail with our crews often ask whether next year the yacht and crew will be in another place.

They would also like to see other destinations, but would gladly return to the same yacht and socialize with the same crew. Because boats are like people, they become friends.

These two things gave us the idea to offer our guests to sail on yachts whose captains intend to sail around the world.

People who do not know that a sailboat is a living creature will never understand anything about boats and the sea.

We choose to go to the Moon!

We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.
John F. Kennedy to a large crowd gathered at Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas on September 12, 1962.

By sailing with us only once, you are not only a guest who enjoys sailing and visiting cities and islands on a route. You become a witness and a participant of a great venture.

During sailing the skippers keep a logbook, and our log has one interesting thing. We note the route we sailed, but we also like to record the sounds of sailing. We use special directional microphones with fur wind shields that can record the sounds of sailing.

We had a lot of luck, the very first time we turned on the microphone, the bow of the yacht was approached by a dolphin. This is a normal situation, but this time it was very quiet, we sailed in a weak wind, the yacht went slowly and everything around us was quiet. To our surprise we heard the dolphin’s whistle. The dolphin was below the sea level, however, the dolphin’s whistle could clearly be heard from the yacht deck.

We have continued to record the sailing sounds in our log and share them with friends over social networks. The response was very good and we gained the impression that just listening to sounds of worry-free sailing has a beneficial effect.

Fifty years ago, man landed on the Moon. They say you can still see astronauts’ footprints and that little has changed in those fifty years on the Moon.

This is a story for those who understand that our planet is changing. This is a story for those who realize that although it has been five hundred years since the first voyage around the world, we are still rediscovering and discovering our planet today. This is a story for those who can hear the whisper of our planet. This is a story for those who this whisper will not leave indifferent.

Ships are the nearest things to dreams that hands have ever made.

Robert N. Rose

Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
